Departments and Key People at Roger's Marketplace
Owner - Roger Perno
Roger has owned Roger's Marketplace since September 2003 and he officially changed the name of the store to Roger's Marketplace in June 2004. He originally came on board as a partner in Gnazzo's Food Center and then purchased the store. He has a great deal of experience in the grocery business. He enjoys golf, music and hanging out with his kids, Michael and Amanda.
Office Manager/Bookkeeper - Margie Lussier
Margie was originally with Gnazzo's Food Center in Plainville. When Ken Gnazzo purchased a share of the store in Kensington in 1988 she came here to help out and has been here ever since. She enjoys biking and travel.
Scan Coordinator - Betsy Selner
Betsy is a lifetime resident of Kensington so she is a very familiar face to many of you. She handles all of the programming of prices for the store. She can be seen buzzing around the store so say "Hi" the next time you are here.
Dairy/Frozen - Tom Stewart
Tom heads up our dairy and frozen departments. He has been with us since December of 1994. Tom loves all sports. He plays in a golf league in Berlin. Additionally he plays in several softball leagues throughout Connecticut.
Catering - Janine Dehm
Janine joined our team in May of 1990. She brings a large dose of experience to us. She is in charge of the deli and catering for the store and she also oversees the bakery department. Janine is very good at her job and she would love to help you plan your next event, large or small. She enjoys gardening and walking and watching her daughter play soccer.
Produce - Tim Kritz
Tim has been our produce manager since December of 1999. Tim came to us as a very experienced produce manager and has continued to grow with our company. He is very customer service oriented so if you see Tim and you need something, regardless of department, he will do his best to help you. He loves fishing and golf and he is an avid motorcyclist. In his spare time, Tim enjoys soccer and lacrosse, sports played by his kids.
Meat - Mark Wheeler
Mark has been with us since April of 2007. Mark is very knowledgeable about cooking and he will be happy to help you with cooking techniques for any cut of meat. He is very personable and truly enjoys helping customers if you come in and need a hint or tip, talk to Mark. Oh, and that purple motorcycle you see in front of the store sometime, yep, it's his!
Front - Jeph Perzan
Jeph heads up the front end and is our night closing manager. Jeph joined our team in 1998 and has held a number of positions in the store including head of the dairy and frozen departments. In his current position he is available to help make your check out experience with us quick, easy, and without a hitch.
Bakery - Jan Zanetti
Jan heads up our fresh bakery department. She has been with us since October of 1989. One of Jan's talents is decorating cakes. Her cakes have ranged from an open book for the library to a Strawberry Shortcake cake to delight a young child. If you are looking for something truly different Jan will be happy to help you. In her off hours Jan enjoys knitting and crocheting, scrapbooking and reading. Next time you are in stop by our fresh bakery and say "hi" to Jan.
